Weed Control

By using a combination of minimum weed killers and good timing, weeds can be eliminated from your lawn and their return minimised by maintaining healthy grass.

STEPS FOR WEED CONTROL

1. Have your lawn mowed at the ideal height, taking no more than one third of the height with each cut. By having your lawn mowed regularly your grass will become denser, which will help to crowd-out weeds. Most weeds can’t compete with a vigorously growing lawn.

2. Identify which of the three weed types are growing in your lawn as either Broadleaf Weeds, Perennial Grassy Weeds or Annual Grassy Weeds and have them treated accordingly with selective weed killers, spot killing or removed by hand

3. Where grass doesn’t grow, don’t fight the weeds and possibly consider a landscaping alternative.
